Jonathan made a c.d. in Norman, OK in 1997. He performed 3 songs. Eventually, we will have video clips of Jonathan in the recording studio singing the songs. He was 14 years old when this was done. The songs are
I Liked You Better (When I Didn't Know Your Name)
Of the 3 songs, the only one he would sing on stage for people was "No Good Byes No Regrets." I remember him saying one time just before he sang it, "Wouldn't it be great if we could all get through life with No Goodbyes and No Regrets? Yeah, Jonathan, it sure would be great! He re-composed the song several times, sometimes singing it slow with the blues, sometimes fast and up-beat. Just one more example of his talent and versatility. The entire project took a week, just to put down the vocals and basic tracks. Back then, we were big in dirt bike motorcycles. We'd ride trails with our friends in Oklahoma (Kevin and James) and stay up all night working on the c.d. The song "I Liked You Better When I Didn't Know Your Name" Jonathan wrote about me and my relationship with one of my lady friends (that probably lasted 15 minutes). The proverbial date from hell. He would joke about her for years after that. I hope you enjoy the c.d. Although Jonathan would like people listening to his music and appreciating his talent, he would most definitely cringe and be embarrassed (a little) with people hearing this c.d. He had vastly improved. Listening to his early work is kind of like your Mom pulling out one of your 4th grade school projects. I hope you give Jonathan a listen. Thanks, Rob
